Impact

Impact testing is performed to evaluate whether products can survive forceful strikes from other objects.  Typical impact objects are steel balls, hammer shaped heads, etc.  Tests can be performed in a room temperature lab environment or while products are subjected to hot or cold temperatures.

Impact Capabilities:

  • Maximum impact velocity of 250 in/sec (21 ft/sec)
  • Impact head weights of less than 1 lb to 50 lb
  • Maximum impact energy of 3,600 in-lb (300 ft-lb)
  • Many differently shaped impact heads available
