In addition to testing how reliable your product will endure vibration loads, DES can measure and analyze the vibration characteristics of your product.  This noise and vibration testing is important to study noise, comfort, performance, mode shapes, damping, and resonance frequencies.  Experimental results can be correlated with analytical FEA models.  Design changes can be optimized using FEA to reduce development costs.
