What Goes Into Industrial Product Package Testing
Getting an industrial product built correctly is only half the job. Heavy, oddly shaped, and high-value industrial equipment is one of the hardest categories to ship well, and damage discovered at the receiving dock is expensive to fix in every direction.
Industrial package testing recreates what your shipment actually goes through: hours of truck and rail vibration, drops and impacts during handling, compression from stacking in a multi-layer pallet load, and the temperature and humidity shifts that come with crossing climates or sitting in an unheated warehouse.
DES tests to recognized distribution standards from ASTM and ISTA, including ASTM package testing, ASTM vibration testing, ASTM environmental package testing, and ISTA package testing. We are an ISTA Certified Laboratory, and when a standard method does not match how your product actually ships, we will build a custom protocol that does.
Industrial Testing Devices for Product Development
Good data depends on the equipment producing it. Our industrial testing devices and lab systems let us simulate real operating and shipping environments under controlled, repeatable conditions, and measure exactly what happens.
